What was the inspiration behind “Like It’s A Bad Thing”?
We wrote “Like Its A Bad Thing” about a guy telling a girl that she doesn’t have to be in a fancy outfit or put on makeup to hang out with him. He is letting her know that he likes her for who she is and doesn’t care about what she’s wearing or if they are just chillin’ on the couch. Really just a positive message overall, which is something we can all use a little more of!
Do you have a favorite line of lyrics from the song?
Christian – “You say it like it’s a bad thing baby, but that’s my favorite you”
Brody – “Bet you’re looking gorgeous as ever whenever you first wake up”
Where did the idea behind this lyric video come from?
We really just wanted to show this girl realizing that she doesn’t need all the makeup or fancy clothes, just like the song says. There’s nothing better than being yourself! The first time we saw this lyric video, we knew it was going to be super cool. It fits the song really well and it is fun to watch!
Is there an overall message you want fans to take away from “Like It’s A Bad Thing”?
Most guys don’t care if you have makeup on or what you are wearing. We just like you for who you really are, you could be in a t-shirt and just wake up. If we like you, we like you! Just be yourself.
If you could tell your fans one thing, what would it be?
Follow your dreams.
How would you describe your sound in three words?
Young, fun, and smooth!
Do you have any future projects coming up that you can tease for us?
Yes, we’ve been in the studio working on new music. We are looking to release a new project this fall! We are super excited.
